A question ref Lorries?

Hi all
a quick question
If you were looking to buy a lorry where would you look?
Horse and Hound? Horse Deals? Horse Mart? Or somewhere else entirely?
Answers on a postcard please!!!

What sort of 'lorry' ?

3.5 tonne van type horsebox

5 or 6 tonne van type horsebox

7.5 tonne lorry

lorry over 7.5 tonnes

eBay too - plus all the places you mention.

eBay useful as sellers can put on lots of photos so you can see eg the floor condition and any faults.

You can agree to buy it but not pay until youve seen it in person - since the description on eBay is detailed and in writing you can always back out if it isnt as descrbed.

Also look at preloved, truck locator and google what you are looking for as it will bring up adverts on dealers websites and livery websites. Check out local tack shop advert boards and places like WCF/farm stores. I found mine by putting a "help me find" post on here, maybe if you tell us what you are looking for & a rough budget we can help?

I've been looking on preloved and horseboxmart, not entirely sure how up to date hroseboxmart is though because each one I've enquired about on there has been sold!

I'm actually selling a lorry but wondered where people would look so as to chose the best place to advertise.

We looked on all the places mention except e-bay, we were too wary of that, but actually bought by word-of-mouth, locally.
