Just checking I have understood correctly... I currently have a Day Pass Membership and have done a couple of BE80(T)s. Looking to do some BE90s now, but only max one per month from July (so maybe 3 or 4 max to the end of the season). Looking at the rules and BE website, if I don't buy a full membership, which I won't, I need to buy a Day Pass for both me *and* horse for each event, don't I?

Thanks :)

You have get a half season pass for the horse from July and if you take out membership yourself it runs for a full 12 months so will cover you for the start of next season too.

I was having this debate as I'm entering a couple of 90s but may well need to drop back to 80.

Looking at the events I wanted to do I have said sod it and joined me and the horse! Partly so less chance of being ballotted.

probably not the cheapest way of doing it but I had some birthday money so spent it on that before it got wiped out by boring stuff like bills!

I did full year horse as I have entered 2 events in June and full year doesn't start til July so saved about £5.

For me I did spread payment direct debit so not totally sure what the cost is as it'll give me the right number of months for a 1 Jan 15 renewal.

Just to add (you may already know) you can only do 4 events on a ticket, so if you're wanting to do more it would definitely be worth doing the half membership :)

Yes, thanks, I was aware of that :) I was looking to do prob 3, 4 max, before the end of the season. However, I've now totted up the costs and I really can't justify spending either an extra £32 per event (for tickets) or buying membership for me and horse, which I'm sad about as have really enjoyed doing BE80s. I think the remainder of my season will be spent doing UA 90 ODEs, as they are more financially viable for me.
