Hi there,
DO U KNOW PATRICK???? (RED CLOUD) Brought from leominster sales approx 5 years ago feb time.
i am looking for patrick 13hh ish gelding red and white black forelock and half a blue eye, light feet 4 white legs blaze. had long full mane . PROB THE PRETTIEST SKEWBALD PONY EVER! he was sold as an un broken 3 year old approx 5 years ago to a lady in the new forest. for some reason she was unhappy with him called me threatening me with soliceters etc saying he was dangerous. this was so not true , at the time i was dealing ponys and young stock . i ended up keeping pat for over 12 months because quite frankly i was totally besotted with him. he was the sweetest pony and so funny a real character. I knew i could never ride him so in the end i let him go. What i should have done was travelled down to the new forest and got him back but i listened to people and so called friends and let him stay there. i have regretted that ever since. i just want to know hes ok and getting the love he deserves (i hope) any news welcome. please if u know him be kind enough to e mail claireandpat@hotmail.com. if u think u know him i can send pics. many thanks

if you dropped him into leominster sales then buyer beware. was he warrented? if you loved him so much you would have never put him in the auctions, or you would have gone to new forest and bought him back. your guilt trip is 5 years too late.

i think that was a bit harsh and if you read the post properly she bought him from the sale and sold him 1 year later. OP post not need these sort of nasty comments when trying tomtrace a pony

Very uncalled for.

She is trying to find her horse after she sold him there is no need for you to make harsh comments such as that.

have you been to leominster sales?

under 1k all are unwarranted...

what is your problem?

the OP would just like a bit of info..

yes i have been to leominster sales many times. harsh i dont think so. reality yes. if mannyp is/ was dealing in ponies young stock then she had plenty of oppertunity to buy back from NF sold fit for purpose? mannyp was so besotted with him that she chose to leave him with an un happy purchaser. and 5 years later guilt trip! if mannyp was dealing at the time she was governed by sales act. regardless of numpty that bought horse. brightwells have very good sales warrenty.

to jesterfairie not uncalled for. no reality. if you are so bessotterd and in love you DO NOT DUMP THEM into an auction be it leominster or any where else.

isme.. not being rude. there is a ned on line to trace horses. i have sold a few and know exactly where they are cos sold fit for purpose. ? mannyp was threatened with solicitiors etc. but still chose not to buy back? ?? but so bessotted? in her wallet?

How do you know it was not fit for purpose?? where you there??? no I thought not, just because someone 'threatens solicitors' does not mean they had a leg to stand on, as they never acted on it!! people who throw threats around dont act on them, people that do take action dont throw threats!

isme someone does not threaten legal action for no reason. as mannyp was dealing (her own words) she was govererned by trades description act. maybe she described him wrong? if she thought so much of the pony she would have bought him back. i dont think its rude to point that out. blunt yes! and ys i was probably at that sale. got a problem with that?

ofcourseyoucan, yes I believe it was uncalled for you were rude for no reason. Yes granted the majority of horse owners may not 'dump their loved ones' at an auction but you do not understand the circumstances the auction may have been a last resort to sell the horse, personal circumstances may have meant that no matter what the horse HAD to go. Same goes for being un able to fetch him back.
As for legal action, people threaten with legal action all the time without a leg to stand on we live in this society now where this isn't a rare occurance. After all threatening with legal action may very well get the results you want a hell of a lot quicker than just complaining.

hello everyone , this is my first posting on this forum i aplologise for causing so much upset . im quite scared.... LOL.

firstly i did not dump him in a sale as others have kindly pointed out. I PURCHASED him from the sale. I then sold him privatley to a lady in the new forest who came saw and brought him off me. she was over the moon with him even had her small child riding him around the paddock bare back. I was quite worried at this point as he had never had anyone on him but such was his nature the lady trusted him there and then.
perhaps i did not explain my story quite clearly- she took him that dday , the new forest is MILES away from me. im in north staffs , but the lady wanted a small show quality coloured and because of patricks beauty she willingly travelled the distance. I was dealing ponies but not all dealers are bad news I brought mainly un handled quite often poor condition youngsters handled them feet trimmed etc and then sold them on to nice people who gave them better homes than the dealer i brought them off ever would have. It made little profit (as anyone knows who has done this sort of thing) but gave me a wealth of experience and a sort of challenge as i no longer compete or anything else like.
anyway back to the story in hand when she got patrick home after a couple of weeks she couldnt handle him catch him or do anything with him. this was unheard of with him he used to follow me around with an empty bucket in his mouth when i poo picked his field! he was also best buds with my 2 rescue goats playing with them over the horses most days.
I regret not getting him back and i have tried to find him in the past to no joy.
PLEASE, UNFORTUNATLY EVERYONE MAKES MISTAKES THEY REGRET. IM HUMAN... I WOULD JUST LIKE TO KNOW HE IS SAFE AND WELL if i could put a pic on here (not the best with PCs) u would all see what a gorgeous little man he is.
all the best to my supporters ( alittle maturity and life experience goes a long way my friends) xx

mannypony put a pic up, and also in the lost/stolen section of the site with title similar to 'not stolen just looking for....'

There are instructions of how to put pics up in the picture gallery section.
