A friend of mine is trying to sell her horse.

Said horse is too much for her so she has chosen to sell on.

Im not sure how much she is planning on sellng for. She has however asked me to ask on here regarding how much a sarcoid would knock of the value of the horse.

The sarcoid is on his shoulder and about 8 inches above the hock. Neither are in places which might impeed (sp) movement.

I know there are alot of views on sarcoids, and some people wont touch a horse with one, but what would you in general knock of its value?

Anyway thought i would ask on here as i have no ideas for her.

Thankyou

Would depend on what horse is capable of.if it is a cracking event/dressage/showjump prospect then probably alter value by little,i realise that said sarcoids are in non obtrusive areas, but the possibility of them not spreading cannot be guaranteed

,had my lads removed by liverpool treatment and they were on his sheath, belly and between back legs,it was over £500 on the insurance! But they were treated 4yrs ago and havnt come back!
Alot of people wont touch, but alot will, personally i would treat before i sold especially if i had insurance,as an insurance company when sold and an exisisting condition wont touch them

,or i would reduce price by at least £500 so next owner can treat!

I

i've bought 2 with a sarcoid and for both of them we had about £500 taken off the asking price to cover the treatment
