A second pony???

I've got more than 2 so not sure I am qualified suitably to answer!!! LOL

I got a pony on loan for my son at 4 after he had repeatedly asked for a pony like mine. We then purchased his current pony after loan pony had to be PTS. Yes, it is extra work but isn't having children about teaching them things and sharing interests? My son loves being around the ponies, helping out and we have great quality time together.

TBF the OPs management regime for her mare will suit most small round ponies very well :)

Yes she has EMS so is a pain to manage. I'm very paranoid but we seem to be doing ok. I'm sure a native pony would fit the routine.

Yes absolutely!!!

TBH if pretty much made my mind up before writing the thread. Pony would be for both of us and I'm excited about sharing it with her more.

My thread was meant more for tips, where to look for ponies, routines etc...

I really appreciate the responses though. Thank you

Well it really depends on lots of things, we're luck enough to have an inside and outside ring where ours are so I generally ride outside while my daughter has her lesson inside. We school together once a week or so and my daughter plays follow the leader, this means her pony gets more than round and round the ring it also helps my horse learn that cantering behind another doesn't mean we places and she should charge and prance!
Luckily for us shows are divided lower level and higher. I have at least 3 years until we're both together at a show again and our schedules rarely overlap!
