a seller's question?

Do you leave a horse out in the field, so possible buyers can see it being brought in? or do you bring in, and groom etc....so it's ready to be tacked up when the person arrives?

I asked the people on the phone what they wanted, one family said they wanted to catch in etc. and other people wanted the horse ready to be ridden. No harm in asking them on the phone what they want

when i was looking to buy i wanted to the horse brought in it might possibley look a bit odd if you do not show horse being caught etc just my personal preference/opinion

no absolutely, I thought that too - I will just ask any people wanting to see her what they want to do. Just depends on how much time they have to view etc...

I would prefer, as a buyer, to see horse caught and brought in, just to see how easy it is to catch. As a seller I am happy to do either.

very true pt.....but I don't think people will buy her for her 'prettiness' lol - she's more of a do the job and do it damn well horse!!!

I always bring the horse into a corral; generally the big main one right next to the house. Have it groomed and tidied up and then turn away loose in the corral. Kills two birds with one stone - horse is clean and potential buyers can see how it is to catch.

ares are always in an groomed, for first visit happy to let them catch on second visit if they wish, but have always sold on first visit so far (not first buyer)
