Yesterday we went for a long trot in the woods! :) I was feeling pretty good, so we trotted really fast. The Carrot Lady always seems in a hurry lately, too! First, we went to the big field where I get to run up the hill really really fast. Except I didn't get to run up the hill at all; instead, I had to make some circles at the top! From there, I can see really far away, and I wanted to look at all the things I can see, like deer, for example, but the Carrot Lady kept turning my head away and making me circle some more.

Then, we trotted through the woods some more, and that was really fun. There was another long soft bit where I often get to run really really fast, but just as we were going to, I saw another deer! So I had to slow down and make sure it really was just a deer; and then, there were a whole pile of those black birds that go kraaaaa-kraaaaa, and so I had to make sure there wasn't anything dangerous, there too. I take good care of me and the Carrot Lady! She just doesn't seem to realise it.

Then, we got to the bit that goes beside the really big field where sometimes there are noisy people with a round bouncing thing. Today, there weren't any of those, but instead, there was a silver wiry thing! It had a green sort of pole along the top, and it had wheels on!  It was right in the middle of the path. I stopped well away to turn around and find a different way home, but the Carrot Lady wouldn't let me, so instead, I walked backwards really really fast until my bum hit a wall. Then she made me go forward again. I went a bit closer, but it was still sitting there, so I walked backwards again, and my bum hit the wall again. I must remember to walk backwards in a straight line next time! She kept telling me that it was ok and scratching me, so I finally went closer to get a better sniff, and when it still didn't move, I darted past really quickly. I got praised LOTS! :)

Then, we trotted on again, but not straight home. Instead, we went a different way and got to another bit where I get to run really really fast, and this time, she not only let me run, but kept asking me to run faster, so we ran around a bend and nearly all the way home! It was great. I hope I get to do that again soon!

Hi Spooky,
I got to go out with my new friend Mr M. today :). He was scared of a big stone, which I thought was a bit woosie of him, but he is so handsome I forgave him. I went to a party with him on Sunday, but his girlfriend came with us and threatened to kick me. ( I think it is because I am prettier than her).
While we were out we met some of those nasty shiney black squeaky, rattley, blow about in the breeze things, I had to walk sideways past them, just to keep an eye on them in case they ran out from the gateways and bit our legs. The person I own and the person Mr. M owns said we were silly! We only walked today, with a little bit of trotting to get into gaps to let the cars go past (I don't know why we have to let them go past, but I get into trouble if I don't) We got to run round a lot at the party,:D but I got into trouble for trying to run too fast. Mr. M got a red ribbon, D got a blue one :( and I got a pretty yellow one which suits my complexion rather :D
I don't think I like the idea of the wire thingy with wheels, I am glad we didn't meet one.
Thanks for the carrots. have a couple of my treats in return.

Spooky pony,
Once i saw a big yellow eye outside somebodys house! That was really scary. It was getting dark, then when we walked past someones big house thing an eye popped on! Then Denise and the lady who always has mints said it was ok and that it wasnt really scary but i did not believe them! It kept looking at me so i walked backwards really fast and sat in a bush like a dog, i thought this was the best thing to do. I think denise disagreed but shes only a human. She even said i had to keep going ... shes a bit crazy sometimes. =/ Then the mint lady stood in the way of the eye and it couldnt see us anymore, so i ran really fast to get us away safely and the mint lady gave me a mint when we got home.
I don't want to go walk in the fields at night ever again!

Dear fireflymac, thank you! The other day, the Carrot Lady asked the Scary Chicken Flap Man why I'm such a chicken, and he said that we can't all be good at everything, and she said that I'm really good at running away, and that that was probably an evolutionary advantage for a horse! I found this very confusing: first, I don't see how being good at running away makes me a chicken, because chickens flap, they don't run! And second, I can't quite work out if they were complimenting me?

Dear Appy, did they try to put the flappy ribbony thing on your bridle? The Carrot Lady has a bit of a fixation with those things; she seems to like the red ones and the blue ones best. I'm more partial to the purple ones, myself. But I don't really get what they're for. I tried to eat one once (I think it was an orange one), but it didn't really taste like anything, and the Carrot Lady got annoyed with me.

Dear Ebony, that eye thing sounds really scary! I think you probably did the right thing trying to run away, though I'm not sure about sitting in a bush. Maybe running behind the bush would have been better? Your Mint Lady sounds like a very nice person to have around!

Dear Spooky Pony,

That trot in the woods sounds lovely! I'm sorry those black birds that go kraaaaa-kraaaaa came and bothered you, they sound awful! As does the scary wiry thing *shiver*

Thelwell_girl was sitting on me once and as we were trotting around, I heard this fluttery noise. Of course being the sensible pony I am, I ran away from it. Thelwell_girl then proceeded to tell me off for running away, the CHEEK of it!! She did give me some nice wither-scratches once I'd walked on, so all was well in the end. :)

Honestly, these carrot-and-polo-bringers just don't seem to realise that we do things, like backing away from monsters, for their OWN good.

Evil Bonnie xx
