Dear diary
I am sorry for writing my diary late today but I have been at bereavement counselling. Even after today I am desolate, inconsolable and beyond comfort. This week I have murdered my new little friend. I didn’t mean to, it was a dreadful accident, but I should be punished for my heinous crimes. How was I supposed to know little mice don’t know how to do the river dance? When he started jumping about around my water bucket my mind was instantly transported back to the emerald isle of my birth and I joined in. With disastrous consequences………. I console myself with the fact that he died quickly. My 2/3 of a tonne weight poised delicately on one leg landing firmly on his head mid enthusiastic dosy do, sent him to mouse heaven quite quickly. I am a bad horse :(
In an unrelated incident Pride and I nearly sent Dad to human heaven. Luckily it appears the fences that bite do make humans squark rather loud but they don’t kill them. Which is good……….. The fact the fence bit him on the bum actually was quite funny but as Pride and I had shoved him into aforementioned fence we did have to run away before we laughed too hard. I know how good a shot Dad is with leadropes!
Dad isn’t too chuffed with me this week as he took me out on my own on weds without a wingman and we saw lots of those huge scary tractors. Now admittedly there was probably no need for the totally hissy fit in the middle of the road but since fancy pants gets away with I thought I’d have a go too. I have since learnt that hissy fits hurt my bum. I’m not sure how the two things are related but I can assure you they are. My bum is still stinging…..
Mum was home yesterday and cool new shoes man came to give me some cool new shoes. I was feeling in quite a loving mood so kept leaning fondly against him and licking his back. Judging from the things he said and his heavy breathing I think he quite enjoyed these brief cuddles. I quite liked them too as it meant he held me up for a few minutes so I could take a load off. He didn’t half go a funny colour though. Maybe he was embarrassed by this public display of affection?
Anyway I am writing this whilst shivering as mum was mean and put me out without a coat on this morning. Can one of you suggest she looks at the television thing that I hear other peoples mums talking about which tells you the weather? A boy could get a chill. Just because I look well hard doesn’t mean to say I am. I am a delicate little flower really………just a large ginger delicate flower……with big feet…..that kill little mice.

Darling Hovis

Come to me and I will cuddle up and keep you nice and warm.

My week has been nice, though mummy now looks really very odd - she has now hair and daddy now calls her mini me - cause she is too small to be dr evil.

I have had a lovely bath, my mane and tail are pure silver and mum says I smell lovely and it is nice to see me with white legs again.

I find not having hissy fits is good. Last week I decided not to school and spent ages in there until I was good, though I did get to go for a lovely gallop as a treat afterwards.

Lots of love

Farra Clydesdale.

Dear Hovis,

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, although I'm not so sure about mice, myself. I think they eat our food, possibly, which isn't good. The cats are ok, though, but I don't understand why they always rub around my back feet?

Dear Hovis,

I am sorry about Mr Mousey, but I'm sure he is in a better place with as much cheese as he could wish for :)

With regards to pony naughtiness, while I didn't barge thelwell_girl into a lekky fence (:D) I did take a chunk from her arm, but it tasted like something called a 'rain coat', so I stopped. She then un tacked me in a huff, but came back later for some snuggles :D

No-one can resist the Bon-bon! :p

Carrots,

Evil Bonnie xx

Lol....I love these posts. They have me giggling out loud when I read them. Don't half have some strange looks though when I'm at work! :D

Hovis, so sorry to hear about your mouse friend. Very sad.

You tell your mum to keep you well rugged up in this chilly weather. Mine left me out without any clothes on the other day, and after two hours I felt so rotten I had to lie down in the field. :( Eventually I had to get up but I was shivering so much I could hardly stand and felt utterly bleughhh. :( She had to get the doctor out to make me feel a bit better. I even had to spend a couple of nights in bed and am now rugged up like it's winter.;)

My advice is to keep warm.:D

I frightened her so much she missed chunks of Badminton yesterday checking every couple of hours that I was warm enough :p:rolleyes::rolleyes::p

Roflmao - funniest one yet (other than the poor wee mousie!).

Ta Hovis :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

P.S. I'm not letting the Dizzy one read this one - she was so rude earlier! Had to be put back in her place, which is not on top of any part of me! Got my own back by making her work hard on the Pessoa (though come to think of it, she wasn't sweaty afterwards... Hm).

dear hovis what is worse than finding a mouse in your stable?............................its half a mouse in your hoof and half a mouse in the stable and your mum goes yuck!
