Hi all, I'm normally a bit of a lurker but I was so pleased with yesterday I'm feeling brave enough to take the plunge and post our own little show report.
P has been on loan to me for the last 2 months and it has been up and down to say the least. But yesterday she proved that there is light at the end of the tunnel! After loading fiascos (accompanied by her best "errm I'm not going in there, why? Because you want me to" look) we seemed to have cracked it and she snuggled up with her buddy to travel to Slimbridge show. I haven't been to a Summer show since I was a teenager so I wasn't really sure what to expect. It was just right. A bouncy castle and loud haler to spook at but everyone friendly and not too posh and serious, so we didn't feel too daft in our mismatched tack!
Anyway, to avoid waffling, she managed to leave her buddy behind and compete in the Riding Club horse class. This was our second ever time off the yard together and we even had to pop a cross pole, so I was incredibly chuffed to be pulled in first and qualify for the SWPA championships
So here she is, my little Appaloosa girl. No cc this time please, I'm feeling very brave to even post pictures!
Isn't it just marvellous when things start to go right? I'm sure there are many bumps in the road to come still but we'll keep going.
Thanks for reading, bagels and cream cheese are all I have to offer.
Do you think she know's she's a good girl here?
Sorry they're so big! Anyone know how I make them smaller?
