A small story about saddles and my credit card bill.....help please!!!

I'd try one of those limpet shaped saddle cloths first (about £50 I think), rather than keep changing saddles. You might just need to use a decent breastplate/breastgirth. After all, yours might be the only one that is actually there for a reason, not just for show!

Slipping saddle - doesnt fit correctly.

Defo get a second opinion

Thanks for your advice guys. I think I am going to get a second opinion. And then cry when I cant afford the saddle they reccomend!

PG am in Surrey, will he come that far?

We're in surrey too and we took 2 of ours down to see Tom at TDS (took about an hour) and it was worth the trip because we actually came back with a saddle for each of the horses, and one of them was a bargain 2nd hand.

I think I know the saddler your talking about who writes the column in the red freebie magazine, might be hoofbeat?

Would also advise getting a second opinion. A few people I know weren't happy with KLD.

I have a fantastic saddler, but I am based in Kent, not sure if he will travel to surrey but could be worth a go PM me if you want more details.

He was with me for 3 hours when I was deciding on a saddle for my old horse and didn't mind me deliberating then saying I wasn't sure on either. He then gave me a 2nd hand saddle to borrow and flocked it to fit my horse to give me more time to think, I ended up buying the bargain 2nd hand one and he was just happy that i had found my ideal saddle!!!!

He is just a bit of a character!!!!
