A Sore sides question

My little mare seems to have developed sore sides. I cannot see any rubs, sores or swellings but her extream reaction when you touch her there or go to do the rug sircingles indicates that there is something going on.

She has it both sides although the left is worse than the other.

I am at a little bit of a loss why, however I do have my suspicions that the fact that the previous sharer's leg was not the most stable may have something to do with it.

Has anyone experienced this and if so what did you do to remedy it and how long did it take to resolve.

I never though of that so i guess it could be possible, I will check the sircingles when I get to the yard tonight

Poor Ru! Ovaries...? (or is the soreness in completely the wrong place?) She does have sensitive skin - have you changed any feed lately? Hope she feels better soon. x

My friends horse has this and she just refused to go off the leg in the school full stop. She was showing signs of extreme discomfort when my friend tried to put her leg on. It turned out it was her ovaries.

i have this prob with my new boy- it seems to be only on his left side over his lower ribs... only notice it when i brush over the area and he suddenly jumps and sticks his ears bk.
