Summary for CC-jack russel in approx maybe 2ft by 2ft? rabbit cage outside, RSPCA said not appropriate,
Nope, you're looking at the right clip cayla. My thoughts are along the lines of if this is not ok for the dog, crates are not ok, so the RSPCA needs to make a decision on whether or not they consider crates ok. Otherwise they have hassled a woman for no good reason.
Of course, the consideration might be made, are crates ok, (I know the majority of AAD forum believe they are), when shown in a different form (as in this case- a rabbit hutch)
And they were happier with the dog (a perfectly healthy happy looking dog..) living inside than out. (All my dogs would live outside, some do and hate being in with the heating!).

Would hazard a guess that the next daft campaign of the RSPCA is to ban crates..know for a fact they dislike them intensely.
How long was it confined to the cage for? (Sorry, haven't got time to watch the clip.) I can understand there being concern if the JR was left in there most of the time, for example.
Whilst I agree with the use of crates, they must be used sensibly and dogs should not be left in them for excessive periods of time. Going back to my cot analogy - it is wrong to leave a baby in it's cot all day and all night, similarly wrong to leave a dog in a crate all day and night. That doesn't make cots and crates 'wrong' - just that they shouldn't be used excessively!
