Its finally done, phew!!! I just can't tell you how back breaking it has been making this new kennel set up and run - our ground is ridiculously stoney
At least this will stop Flyn wandering off to the farm and sitting in random Landrovers!!
However, I am proud to show you what the kids and I have done over the last few weeks
OK so the new kennel itself was built by a friend for me but we did the rest! The wire is sunk over a foot into the ground and digging the holes for the posts was very demoralising!
As you can see, it needs tidying up but we have a very established honeysuckle to grow over plus I am going to pave an area in the run for when it gets really muddy plus put up another rail half way down on the bottom side.
We are going to look at a litter of Border Collie pups on Wednesday (fingers crossed) even though I have tried to persuade son until I am blue in the face to get a springer instead of a useless collie!!!
This will then be followed (eventually) by a border terrier for daughter - I know, what an awful motley collection!
Please note - the dogs will only be in here when I/the kids are at work/school - the rest of the time they are in the house or out with us
PS: the ramp is for Toby - his joints are really playing him up at the moment and he has awful trouble jumping down now
My son is going to build a ramp for the car too.
