Its finally done, phew!!! I just can't tell you how back breaking it has been making this new kennel set up and run - our ground is ridiculously stoney :( At least this will stop Flyn wandering off to the farm and sitting in random Landrovers!!

However, I am proud to show you what the kids and I have done over the last few weeks :) OK so the new kennel itself was built by a friend for me but we did the rest! The wire is sunk over a foot into the ground and digging the holes for the posts was very demoralising!

As you can see, it needs tidying up but we have a very established honeysuckle to grow over plus I am going to pave an area in the run for when it gets really muddy plus put up another rail half way down on the bottom side.

We are going to look at a litter of Border Collie pups on Wednesday (fingers crossed) even though I have tried to persuade son until I am blue in the face to get a springer instead of a useless collie!!! :)

This will then be followed (eventually) by a border terrier for daughter - I know, what an awful motley collection!

Please note - the dogs will only be in here when I/the kids are at work/school - the rest of the time they are in the house or out with us :)

PS: the ramp is for Toby - his joints are really playing him up at the moment and he has awful trouble jumping down now :( My son is going to build a ramp for the car too.

Very nice!!:D:D:D

Although I doubt they will be grateful!! FWIW both of mine stay out in the garden (I have a boot/utility room at the back that they have their beds in) when I am out and they love it:D. Their beds are by the boiler so can be warm and cosy if they want to sleep but in the summer they generally sleep out in the sunshine and of course it means Max can view his bone collection......;):D:D:D

Very nice! Well done to you and the kids, I would have got half way through the first post and phoned soemone else in to do it! :p :D
Is that Flyn in the pen? He looks less than amused! :D 'oi you, theres a design fault, I can't get out of here!' Lol!

Barney used to live in our old conservatory, his bed was in the utility room which was round the corner from the door to the garden, which we left open all day for him:) He was fine with it, although as an old boy he moved into the kitchen as we knocked down the conservatory and built a big extension! He didn't seem to mind the new arrangements at all;)

Henry is far too much of a spoilt darling for that:o

Poor Flyn, no more road trips:(:p:D

Well done, looks like you've done a grand job. They will of course choose the muddy area over the paved one, and probably add to the entertainment by digging large holes in it.:D
