A super duper dressage instructor please?

As a present to myslef and to start 2008 off in order to achieve my goal of Competing and gaining points at novice with my new mare I was wondering if any of you knew of any very good instructors in Essex; Essex/Suffolk border or Herts but around Harlow/Bishops Stortford/Hertford area. Doesnt matter if its quite expensive as it will just be once or twice a year.......
 
Not to put you off too much but once or twice over a year probably wont help you much.

When you consider the trainer has to get to know you and the horse to be able to help bring out the best in either... they cant really do much for you with those limitations.

I really dont want to sound awful, but i doubt you'd get much out of it

If you still want to find someone though, head for the BD trainer's database and search by county. Will show you who is in your area and the level at which they have competed at.
 
I appreciate that- but I always found clinics to be really useful when I had Shadow- But i dont know this mare well enough to take her to a clinic and know she will behave so rather than go to a clinic- ill go straight to the instructor- well that was the idea anyway....
 
I would recommend Michel and Mette Assouline at Colne Engaine, Essex, but agree with the OP about once or twice a year wont really do the trick.... a good instructor needs to get to know you and your horse and once or twice aint gonna cut it!

I would either go to one your instructor uses or recommends. I have a lesson with Charlotte Lassater a few times a year, but she is my instructors instructor so it works well. Also if I do go to other clinics I always talk to my regular instructor first as the odd lesson with someone with a completely different approach to my regular one can actually casue more harm than good!
