What is the name of the cattle product (a spot on type I think) which is unlicensed for use in horses but has had good results when used on sweet itch sufferers.

Thanks, I trawled back through the posts but couldn't find one that had the info.

I used Benzyl Benzoate for years on a Sec A with severe Sweet Itch. Applied 1 - 2 times a day Spring to Autumn. Worked brilliantly and not expensive compared to other products. People seeing her didn't believe she had Sweet Itch at all! Also found feeding garlic helped. Tried feeding cider vinegar which works for some but not for this pony. Never used insect rug as she was a rug destroyer.

Thank you c2b!

I have Benzyl Benzoate in the armoury already, apparently the Dectomax is a bit like frontline on cats/dogs, you don't have to fiddle about every day. It has to be worth a try...

it is called spot on you put 10ml over the withers the linsced stuff for horses is called switch you put that over the mane spine rump!
