A tasty conditioning feed

I recently put my mare on Fibre Beet which ive used on other horses in the past with good results... but my tb wont eat it!!

Can anyone suggest anything else that will put weight on her but would be ideal for a fussy feeder?

Ive used D&H build up with a lot of success also the Allen and page calm and condition although if shes not keen on soak feeds she might not fancy that either.

Allen and page are doing a £5 voucher if you trial a feed for a month for them, on their website. Be worth trying it at that price.
 
We have 7 horses on Calm & Condition and i cant recommend it enough!! They love it and its a fab feed without too much sugar and nasties!!
Although it is a soak feed and depends if that bothers you :)
 
I've used Spillers Conditioning Fibre before and it was good, or you could try adding a bit of diluted pepermint or apple cordial to his feed.
 
Shes had soak feeds before, and i always wet her feeds because ive seen choke too many times in other horses!

Ive never known any horse not to eat fibre beet though. I would try Calm and condition but i also know of horses going a bit potty on it, and she has those kind of tendencies with certain feeds.

another vote for Ready Mash Extra, it makes into a lovely feed for them which they love and puts condition on, also have used barley rings and conditioning cubes. A great conditioner is Allen & Paige Weight Gain Mix but check out the starch levels as they are high
 
Mine loves calm and condition- but he is like a labrador...
Another one worth a try is Baileys No6 Endurance mix. Don't be put off by the endurancey bit! It's got lots of protein and oil for steady energy release and puts condition on very well. Also looks tasty- bit like muesli... I'll try abit later with some milk and let you know!

Also Spillers Response slow release energy- or name something like if horsey prefers just nuts. Again slow release so shouldn't go bonkers and great for conditioning.

Tried Spillers conditioning flakes along time ago too- can't even remember what they looked like but he loved them too and they're very effective.
 
another vote for calm&condition - Barry loves it on it's own made into a sloppy porridge - slurrrrrps it up with the happiest expression on his little face :p
