I want to go against the grain here. There recently seem to be a real spate of "what other liveries do to annoy you", " my YO is awful", "I hate my yard". It really can't be THAT bad for SO many people?

Well, I was up my yard yesterday and was really feeling under the weather. Big time. So I would like to thank..

my fellow livery who took one look at me and offered to take all of my 3 dogs for a good walk around the fields... no mean thing as I have 3 OTT staffords

My YO who talked to me and then offered to ride my youngster and give me a break. She schooled and jumped him for me

Oh and my sharer who said, oh lets sit down and have a coffee. No need to walk out with me today, I will just groom and fluff.

So a positive thumbs up and thanks from someone on a busy competition and livery yard...

Sounds like you are surrounded by lovely people on your yard. Any room for me and my 3? ;)

that would be nice! shame you are too far away but there aren't 3 spaces on the yard. There would have been one if one of the sales liveries sells after christmas, thought "think" there is another one waiting to come in! and yes I do have nice people and it makes it all so much more fun.

What a lovely post for a glum Monday morning, seems as though you have lots of caring people around you too.
Very kind of those people to help you out, there are yards out there still that all work brilliantly together.

I was on a yard nothing posh at all it was a mess of a yard although safe enough for neddies and we all got on so well helped each other out at the drop of a hat had fun and games with horses and kids in summer, ghost hunt on Halloween up the yard with YO's permission of course.

It was sad to leave such good friends behind when I left, but still in touch with many of them to this day.

Hope you soon feel better too

What a nice post to read. Our horses have always been kept at home but my daughter took Murphy with her in the summer and he is now on a livery yard. The liveries all help each other out, and the YO seems great. A couple of weeks ago Murphy cut his leg and had to be sedated to be stitched up, typically it was a night when daughter was on call. YO monitored him all evening and texted daughter at 11.30 pm to say he was fine and she had just given him a hay net, very reassuring to know she was keeping an eye on him.

I hope you are feeling a bit better now ? Sounds like you are on a lovely yard :)

I'm at a lovely yard too, and it means the world to me to feel safe and happy.

Yes and I do appreciate it greatly. Just wanted to have something positive to say as there are so many posts on here complaining about other people!

Lovely thread :) 3 out of the 4 livery yards I have used were all lovely, the 4th was just not suited to me. Lots of nice folk out there who need praising! Hope 2013 is better for us all.
