... today is the shortest day, thus as of tomorrow the nights start getting lighter...!

So keep that in mind as we all get snowed in today!

Roll on Spring time and the new event season...

Just to disappoint you a little (because I'm a grump today
wink.gif
), the shortest day isn't technically the 21st, this is due to the length of time it takes for light to travel to the Earth from the Sun. The actual shortest day will be about another week or so.

Sorry.

I agree, and I follow this closely - I'm quite certain that the evenings start getting longer as of now - although the mornings seem to go on drawing in a bit

So I'm choosing to ignore m_m too anyway, she's pickled her brain good and proper long since her A levels, or that's what I heard anyway

Hurray for skarlett cheering us all up - plus the sun is out looking lovely on the snow here and.... the snow is melting!!!! Hurray!!!

The evenings do indeed draw out from now on but the mornings are still drawing in so net effect is not much difference in terms of actual daylight but more time to ride in evenings

Is this actually a fact?? It's the way it always seems to me but when I say it to people they think I'm mad (funny that

Firstly - I am well used to being ignored (I have 30 staff and none of them take a blind bit of notice of me, so I'll just add you lot onto the list

).

Secondly - that blinking Baydale has been sharing all my secrets again hasn't she?!

On the assumption you drove along the A40 past Raglan, then either forked off down the A449 to the M4 at Newport (that would have been your quickest route) or carried on the A40 to Abergavenny and beyond (scenic
tongue.gif
) you would have passed within about 3 miles of my house! Shoulda called in, especially with new puppy
grin.gif
Mind you, if you'd stayed the night you would never have got out again on Monday
