I still miss her so much and had a little cry earlyer when i was telling someone who still didn't know and they asked me how she was doing. :( :( :(
I made this little tribute for her. I hope it does her justice.

I am so proud of her and will never forget all she has taught me.

RIP my beautiful angel, the brightest star in heaven.

Thanks for looking.

It is lovely Laura.

I love the pic near the beginning of her looking out from her stable with her nose on the barrier and the pics from the beach and your ride a few weeks ago...

A really good tribute xx.

Another who had tears in my eyes watching that. She was lucky to have you, and you did her so proud right til the end. Your words were lovely, and i loved seeing some photos of her i hadn't before, the ones at the show. What a wonderful and talented girl she was :)

It's a lovely tribute. I remember you posting so many of the pictures - especially the one where she has the little girl on her and didn't bat an eye lid.

A beautiful, beautiful tribute. I'm another who was in buckets watching it.

Thank you for putting it together, and for sharing it with us.

It moved me to tears because it is 5 years since I lost my best friend.
We were together for 33 years, and I still miss him (it does get easier)

...but your words brought it all back,
but also the wonderful memories we shared.
(he was chestnut too)

Hope your pain soon fades Laura x

Oh laura, that was beautiful.
Such gorgeous pics of lovely lucy. I cant possibly imagine what an awful time you are going through. But those happy pics of lucy show just how much of an amazing caring, oving owner you were. She was so happy and did everything she could to be the amazing pony only you knew she was.
She didnt want you to see her at her worst so only let you see her at her best. Which you shared with all of us, and all of us i think are better people for seeing how hard you worked with lucy and what that bond meant to the both of you.
She was amazing for trusting you and giving you the years of happiness she did.
You were amazing for having faith in her and bringing out the amazing pony in her.
We are so lucky to have been given the details of her story from start to finish with her. You were an inspiration to so many people and are carrying on that inspiration with the horrid one.
I for one am one of those who has been inspired to carry on through the tough times because of your tales of the hard times but also the rewarding times.
You should be the proudest mummy in the world, lucy was the luckiest pony in the world to have found you, if only all difficult/written off ponys could find you, the world would be a very happy place.
She had an amazing life and that tribute to her shows how happy she was, look at the smile and cadre free expression se always carries, as does the horrid one.
Any horse with you has the best life that one could wish for.
You prob have a million amazing memories of lucy, but i bet she has a million more amazing ones of you, as you made her what she was.

Big hugs, it must have taken all your strength to make that vid, and its a lovely vid that shows lucy at her best, looking lovely and happy, the way that she would want you to remember her.

Lovely tribute, brought a teat to my eye and was an amazing summary of your relationship.

Hugs again ((((()))))

Thankyou everyone i'm glad you liked it. All the photos apart from 3 are from the last 7 months (well since she was diagnosed). I hope they all sum up her true spirit. Couldn't put many old pics up as the scanners not working :(
I'll save them for another day. Making these always makes me feel alittle better as it makes me remember the good times we shared esp when i miss her so much.

Oh hun I am so sorry! I missed your post about Lucy, so sad to hear she is gone. You did the very best for her and you have all the lovely memories (((hugs)))

It just shows you what a little fighter she was that those photos are basically all from after she was diagnosed!
You must have so many lovely memories of her if you did all those things in 7 months.

Oh Laura, how beautiful, couldn't help crying watching it, you will always love and remember her.

Your poem was lovely too, perhaps you could put it on here for us all. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thankyou Booboos I still can't believe she is gone :(

BobbyMondeo she was such a little fighter and i'll never forget our day at the beach. Esp as it was -3 BRRRRRR but it was so worth it, We did so much over the twelve years but i had always wanted to take her to the beach and that would have been my only regret if i haddn't taken her.

and thankyou everyone else. taceann i'm glad you liked the poem it's taken me ages to write it i just couldn't find the words for ages then today they just came to me.

A truely wonderful tribute, you can feel how much you loved her.
I'm as tough as old boots and never cry, but that brought a tear to my eye, it was really touching.
You'll always treasure your memories with her, RIP Lucy xxxx
