Chuffed to bits with my cob 
She really is so easy to do. Been long reining and have just started trotting yesterday, very responsive, very forward thinking and moves lovely! she has a natural head carriage and really drives herself from behind. Hopped on again today after a short long reining session, shes def getting better although we occasionally still get *stuck* but a bit of turning and shes off again.
We are attempting trotting tomorrow under saddle, will have someone with me just incase but i can't see her being bothered by it.
Next week i will be doing a bit of inhand work over plastic sheets and poles.
So once we have established trot in the field and now she is fully understanding voice commands and turning and our being stuck is less and less from beginning of the week, when would you start to walk out on the roads with a person of foot? i am tempted to try mid next week.........
She is used to being led around the lanes and traffic doesn't faze her plus its mega quiet where we are with the occasional car or tractor passing by.
Also when did you decide to get the saddler out to your youngster? although she is only doing very little i do not want any saddle issues arising caused by ill fitting saddle, planning on keeping her ticking over a few times per week - (all hacking once shes going, and strictly walking with a little trot on a surface when i hire the school) till autumn then turning her away till spring.
I was thinking if i got an adjustable saddle fitted by a fitter then it could judt be adjusted by said fitter when/as she changes shape, therefore it would continue to fit her through to next year when she will be in regular work.
Can anyone recommend a saddle suited for this? i was thinking a throwgood one?
