A very lucky escape for me yesterday... (Including a photo)

Well yesterday at the hunter trials I was helping my friend to load her young mare. I was NOWHERE near her back end, but somehow the bloody b*tch of a horse managed to spin round and just as I ducked away from her she still managed to kick me just below my hip.

Fortunately I'm far from thin so it's only a bad bruise, but if I had reacted the slightest bit slower than I did then she could've got me straight in my stomach...

Black/purply bit is the bruise and the "bump" it's on is the swelling

Ouch I still have a dent in my thigh muscle from a friends loan horse who jumped like a stag but was a complete g@t when loading and unloading. That kick was um err 25 years ago (the bruise has gone tho)!

Dont worry you wont have a dent in the old days we didnt do Arnica and ICE Packs all my other bruises were never a problem. It could have been because I strapped my leg up with a tail bandage so I could ride!!
