I thought this was a wonderful story. It happened in the town where I was born and where my family still lives and hour from me. A wonderful organisation called the "make a wish" foundation grants life dreams and wishes to terminally ill children. This little girl wanted a pony.
Before anyone decides to attack with...."only in America" or "how dumb to give an inexperienced girl a pony" Please read on how it is being boarded for a year (at a wonderful stables that I personally know of) It is getting free vet care for a year, and she is getting weekly training for free for a year as well. Her parents plans are to purchase a place in the country this year to have the pony at home. This is a very rural area and land and country hmes are VERY affordable. I am so happy for her. Every horse person had to start somewhere and she seems to getting a wonderful start with experienced guidance.I truly hope she recovers from her illness and makes horses a lifelong love. Bless her

That is really sweet, im so glad some people actually give a thought for people that are less fortunate (didn't mean that in a bad way)

That is lovely! A much more enjoyable story than the girl that won an unbroken 2 year old!

A very different situation though

wonderful story. The make a Wish foundation are an amazing group you only need hear a small number of their 'granted wishes' to hear how fantastic they are. Here again they have given a very ill child her main wish of her young life. And have been sensible in how they granted it to ensure the 'wish' Rain was correctly cared for.
