We made the journey to Onley Grounds EC at the weekend for our first TOYS and had an absolute ball. It was a very friendly, fun show.

I have included all the details and pics on my blog (www.applebottomsandbootswiththefur.WordPress.com) but in summary, we were so pleased with our little coblet Esme! She won the In-hand Home Produced Youngstock Championship, came 3rd in 3 Year Old Filly of the Year and 6th in the Ultimate Star Final. She was a total star and we were so chuffed with her behaviour seeing as this was only her third ever show, having been bought from a gypsy yard 3 months ago on her way to Appleby. Absolutely love this little sweet pony!

If anyone is thinking about joining the TGCA, I can highly recommend it - we've had a great experience!

Hope everyone had a great weekend with their horses :)

Thats only half an hour away from me. I wish I'd known it was so close as I've got a really lovely traditional who really should be out doing things like this! Do you have to join TGCA?

Ah, I thought it might have been you stood near us waiting in the outdoor school! Sorry I didn't say hi now! She has her name as her freezemark, doesn't she?!

We had the tri-coloured I think she was sniffing your girly outside near the office whilst you were brushing her tail. Funnily, the only horse she tried to speak to all weekend.

It was an absolutely amazing show. We can't wait for next year already! My sister got Tradtrec champion inhand, 5th in in hand small mare, 6th in the points thing that I cannot remember the name of. As well as a few others in the hand classes :)

I second you though, anyone with a hairy needs to join TGCA. It's a fantastic show and the people are great.

You should def get out and about :) you have to join the TGCA to be a part of TOYS. If you have a look on the website, they'll be publishing show dates for next year fairly soon. You could always pop along to a local one and do a TGCA class before you join up. Everyone is very friendly :)

Yes, that's our girl with Esme written on her back :) I think I can picture your lovely little cob :)

Well done on your fab results! It was such a fun show, can't wait for next year. We're eagerly awaiting the show diary to be published :)
