So sad, i hate to even think it but im a newly single mum and i am finding it so hard. Could you all maybe help me with a price as im crap at it and have no idea at all.

16.3hh Dutch warmblood x tb, Quite a chunky boy, absolutley perfect temperment, never puts his ears back, never kicks or bites. Great with my 2 year old grooming his legs lol, 10 years old, bay, loves fuss and cuddles, great to shoe, walks straight in any box or trailer, comes to call like a dog!

Been brought on slowly and has very low millage, just started learning lengthening strides and flying changes, loves to work and is a very quick learner, very comfortable but powerful mover. Hasnt got any points etc as hes not been to many shows, just trained at home.

Has a huge, clean jump.

Great to hack, can be jumpy on his own but fine with company.

This isnt an advert of any sort, im just trying to tell you all abit about him, ive probley missed loads of important stuff out!

Any idea of price??? Any help would be great xx

I'd try do a search for similar horses for sale, and based on that and your own realistic idea of price.

It's so tough! In my opinion, a horse is only as worth as the buyer wishes to pay for it!

But that isn't use or ornament to your predicament eh!! Good luck, hope you find someone nice for him xx

I agree with what Lauracross 83 has said. Have a look on Horse and Hound classifieds, Horsequest and also the ads on teh BD website. It is difficult to price a horse without seeing it. Also if it has fashionable bloodlines they seem to attract a premium. He sounds like a lovely boy though.

I know this might not be of any use to you but could younot find a sharer or loan him until you get back on your feet. You could loan him at his present yard so you can keep an eye on him

not very helpful but he does sound lovely, coould you no loan him out for a while as the previous poster said - then at least you can take some more time over the decision and you never know your circumstances might change?! Hugs hun, not a nice decision to make .

A safe genuine horse is worth is weight in gold, I would think around the 3-4k mark unless he has done something other than hack (dressage jumping showing hunting etc...)
I may be way off as I havent seen him in the flesh, but nicely put together straight moving quiet and safe with plenty of scope then id say about that.
He may also be a superstar in which case i could be way off the mark again!

Maybe OP needs to free up the money. I know if I had to sell mine all their 'profit' would end up paying off the OD I'd built up keeping them

i really feel for you...am in a similar position myself

i'd say around 3.5-4k personally but if he's safe and bombproof people will pay a fortune for that. someone bought a horse off me for a large sum of money because he was pretty and she felt safe- she wasn't bothered by his BD/BE record which had made his pricetag quite high in the first place
