all the good times me and freddy had, he got PTS in december after colic caused a fatty lump to wrap round his guts over 4 days.

OMG so sad. Lots of horses get this problem when they are old with the fatty tissue round the gut, my friend lost her elderly horse with the same thing, they operated but found the damage was unrepairable and rang to ask permission to pts whilst he was on the operating table. I've lost four horses now and barely a day goes by when I don't think of at least one of them especially when I feel a bit down in the dumps as I do recently. The poem that accompanies your video made me cry at work on my lunch break so I had to stop it. The bit about making hoof prints to heaven so you will find your way makes me think about rainbow bridge.

I wish you well on your road to recovery from your loss. For those of us who have loved and lost you will know how hard this is, but you will come out the other end, your video is testament to this.

applecart4 - thank you so much thats very sweet of you, when the vet came out the final time he advised against surgery as he didnt think it would be worth it with the condition of his gut and his age combined, but im glad as it meant i was with him at the end...
