Right guys ok with the milder weather starting to set in ..... today ... well has any ones horses started to shed their coats. My pony has always shedded early

But we suspect cushing at the moment for various reasons and I was just wondering if anyones horsys were already losing their winter coat?

Mine is with abundance.

We were going to clip her and keep her clipped out yesterday but the hair was coming out in clumps!

Still, she's getting a lovely sheen now with lots and lots of grooming.

Mine has kept his clip really well but he is starting to molt a lot - vet was running hands down legs today and patches of chestnut hair were falling on the floor!

eeek, getting worried that Cushings is too much of a possibility

He is a right little hairy boy [shettieX] and he is usually earlier than everyone elses horses. He has a curly coat down his stifle folds and along his spine, possibly drinking more than usual and bad dandruff. Soo if he doesnt shed or sheds late then Im going to get seriously worried!! Thanks for all your replies more are very welcome, especially ones from Scotland or those with shetties/shettieXs

Well my old chap is a Cushings Horse and I don't hold out much hope for his coat to start to shed for a long while yet!

The first piccie in my siggie, shows him well into the spring last year
