S'cuse my ignorance on these matters - but when you have livery aren't you allocated a stable?

I've got my name down at a livery (for when I get a horse....) and I assumed that once sorted, you had your own stable - or is it a 'free for all' at some yards?

Or, does it vary from yard to yard?

Possibly it does...but on my yard...our stables are just that...no-one EVER would use anyone elses stable without asking, and YO would certainly not sanction it.......can't believe some of these practices and people

Maybe it's a copy cat...? Read about it, and thought it was a good idea. Though God knows the mentality of someone like that. The mind boggles, quite frankly.

Personally I would not have acted in a very calm manner had it been mine. Couldn't have helped myself. I would have blown a gasket and screamed blue murder at EVERYONE on the yard and made it quite clear there would be serious repercussions if it ever happened again. Word would soon get round to the person in question had they not been within ear-shot - believe me. Then I'd be looking to move yards ASAP, because it appears there is at least one livery there who's got the sort of mentality I would not want to be anywhere near. Positively dangerous IMO.

Personally I would far prefer that they had hidden my grooming kit or filled my hat with water - Than picking on my horse. They obviously showed no thought about the horse in question - Call themselves animal lovers? Yes, I would be absolutely raging but I would have to think of what my next move was carefully, as I wouldn't want the repercution of my horse being targeted again. Think what is best for your horse and act accordingly, whether that be biting your tongue until you move (if you do).
