A young Bitch

My young Springer bitch (9 months old) has been acting strange. Normally well behaved and always comes back has started to run and not come back. I have had bitches in the past and never had a problem. Could this behaviour be due to her coming into season for the first time.

Is she off hunting or just pegging it away as fast as she can?

I can't remember exactly the age, but they do get to a point where they loose their fear of getting lost iykwim, and then begin testing the boundaries!

She is doing both. Has always worked nice a close but at training yesterday she slipped her lead and just legged it into the wooded area. Was having too much fun and would not come back.
