Just got back from doing my neds.............. they were out of their diet pen (track system) and gorging on the spring grass!!!!!!!!!!! The electric tape was still up so they must of jumped!? Managed to catch the Newfie and fed him his supp; (Global Herbs Lam Prone) and put his muzzle on but couldn't catch the shettie x. By this time it was p*ssing it down and obviously dark. Will have a go tomorrow and get his muzzle on and they can stay on the 4 acres!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry to hear of your frustration but please be careful. I had a similar situation some years ago when I decided to try and catch the pony in question and lead him over the electric fence tape. He was a really lovely pony but as a result of this I ended up pulling my 'foot of'. It is now heavily pinned and plated so please don't be tempted to do this. A few deep breaths and a stiff drink would be a better idea:)

Little monkeys. Is it possible that they limbo'd under the tape ? At least you have grass, ours are telling us the grass is rubbish and need extra round bales. Don't believe them though.

Thanks Mearas, have had the stiff drink!! So sorry about your foot, That must have hurt like hell. Can you still ride?

Yes spent forty minutes in field waiting for someone to find me. But have an amazing surgeon who spent over three hours putting it back on. Have very little trouble with it now and I can still ride.

OMG YEEEEEOWCH:eek: HOW did you manage THAT?!:eek::eek:

So glad it is now better though:) Tis amazing what can be done with a bit of superglue:p

Little monkeys, I used to have to double fence D to keep her on or she'd jump over. Two 4ft high fences about a metre apart seemed to do the trick.

Pony was really lovely temperament so decided to lead him over double tape fence rather than undo it all. Turned the fence of but must have been some charge left in the tape. Pony shot forward, tape went round my ankle and pulled!!!!

Best thing of all though was he stayed with me for the whole time I was waiting for someone to come, nussling my hair and blowing on my head:)
