I am looking to buy my first box and don't have a huge budget but there are a couple of options open to me and I would like other people's opinion on what might be best. I don't intend to go anywhere overnight, so would just need dayliving.

1.Buy older used horsebox, fully fitted out with living in place.

2.Buy a newer lorry and get it converted, but would not be able to afford to get living area done out.

Has anyone ever had a go at fitting out a basic living area themselves?

just remember newer doesn't mean more reliable............. I bought a 'C' reg cargo ran it for 3 yrs and sold it for the same price I bought it - very reliable
you can pick up a few bargains up at the moment, especially around London with the new CO2 regulations

I bought my box with unfitted living and over the first six months OH and i did it ourselves. It has a wardroble, curtains, blind, cupboard with hob and sink. Bench seat with under storage. I made lovely foam cushions for the bench seat. I bought most of the stuff off ebay, including the material, really cheaply.
