I would go to Worcester via Telford and Kidderminster, fairly bog standard A roads, but you could always go M5, M6 M54, depends if you are a motorway fan.
I used to go Kidderminster/Bridgnorth/Shrewsbury I think - it was when I worked for West Mercia Constabulary, so I had to go from the HQ to the Shropshire divisional HQ
I must have completely missed the Shropshire thing and T E's camping thing too! What's that all about? Does TE have a campsite or field or summit? Great if so........can we put tents with a barrier round to keep doggies in rather than tether them? ( I have my own barrier fence and pegs)
It's 40 miles away for me. Just over an hour or so by car. Count me in.
I wouldn't want to stay overnight though, not with kids to sort out, so no need for a pitch for me. Won't be able to walk Harvey for too long either, as he'll only be 8 months or so, but I'm sure it will be oodles of fun.
I'd love to meet the members of AAD...especially your motley crew of dogs
SU - sounds good, we can work it out nearer the time as you say
MM - the Holyhead trip was a nightmare, stupid o-clock ferry, M6 chockablock, and me and my colleague both knackered after finishing packing up the stand at about 10pm the previous night as I recall! So Shropshire will be a breeze
My OH is coming as we are integrating the meet up with our weekend away so he can cook (He likes BBQ's!) and we can shout at each other while we argue over the tent/where the dogs sleeping/if its him or the dog who is sleeping outside!
I have written that date down and am looking forward to it!
BBQ-ing is definitely a bloke thing. When I did my year abroad the uni organised a big BBQ for all the exchange students, and the BBQ was awash with testosterone - surrounded by blokes trying to turn burgers with little plastic forks that kept melting as someone had chucked something flammable on there and the flames were about 6ft high...
