Slight change of plan, TE has got engaged (yay congratulations) and her fiance has surprised her with a plan to whisk her away to a posh hotel on 12th June.
Therefore, I am afraid folks the meet up is no longer at her wonderful place, but in my field, as long as no one minds slumming it. Tents still welcome etc, it just won't take as long to show you round my yard (ok 2 stables :D).
As long as everyone is happy with this I would be grateful if people could come up with plans for food, I am useless at organising, I do have a bbq, although never actually got it going myself but I am sure we will manage it if we do it by committee.:D

Congratulations TE!!

No problems with change of venue - as long as you are sure you don't mind us and assorted mutts invading!!:D:D:D Well obviously Evie will be delighted at the spangle invasion.....;):D:D

Is your BBQ the good old fashioned charcoal type? if so no problems I can make that work!:D

Congrats TE!:):):)

**Cracks knuckles in anticipation of being able to release the arsonist within**:D

Congratulations TE! :)

I was going to ask for directions but I see now that I will be able to follow the column of flame and wailing fire engines... :p

Wow, congratulations TE!!! Fantastic news!

Happy to bring something that only needs re-heating or can be eaten cold if you prefer! I will also need directions please.

Sorry MM I was meant to post this yesterday but I got caught up doing a job application form last night

I love BBQs but am very happy to bring some of those instant ones if it is easier, they just need a couple of bricks to stand on or they will scorch the grass to nothing!

Got to go out now but will come back later and compile a list of those coming, together with numbers of dogs :D

Its an old fashioned bbq with charcoal, we're not in the 21st century here. Only been used once I think, I tend to just get those little silver trays for me and kids. I will warn the local fire brigade that slinky and spudlet are going to be fire raising, I should warn you tho if you have ulterior motives, our fire men are not of the hunky chippendale types:(
I will pm directions to anyone who wants them, probably best not putting them on here, we might end up with gatecrashers for a rave.:D Are you guys sophisticated with sat navs, or do you need it blow by blow?

I hadn't been keeping an eye on this - I'd still like to come if I can :D maybe with minute poop in tow (thats a dog btw not faeces!! :D)

We're not going to start all this again with people messaging me saying not to invite you! You are in for a shock by the way if you think a 13 week old shepherd pup is going to be minute!:D

I'm still coming.......I'm veggie though so if I'm the only one I'll either bring my own bbq or bring cold picnic food :)

I'll need directions/postcode for Sat Nav.

Jack is very excited....I'm a little sad I can't bring Quila as it would be perfect socialisation for her ;)

So, a synopsis because I am just organised like that :p:

Gazehound - 3 greyhounds (NOT cat friendly!!!) - staying overnight

Spudlet - 1 mad spangle - staying overnight in a tent

SlinkyUnicorn - 1 spangle and 1 lab - staying overnight in a tent too

Annette - 1 gorgeous Corgi - not staying (vegetarian)

Blackcob - 1 huge great wolfy type :D - not staying

Booboos - 1 JRT - not staying

Kitsune - one tiny weeny GSD puppy.. not sure if staying or not??

Mollichop - 2 dogs - staying in a tent too

Hmmm why I am the only one with multiple dogs? :o

So eight people and twelve dogs for the BBQ, with six people and nine dogs staying overnight (assuming Kitsune wants to)

Food and drink: Spudlet and SU are in the charge of the BBQ, Annette can you just let us know if you want veggie BBQ and I'll bring a separate disposable one for you? :)

Shall we agree beforehand what everyone is bringing, so we dont end up with loads of the same stuff?

Sorry, I am getting too organised here :o - what time are we meeting too?

That is very organised!

Shall I make some burgers?:) Assuming they survive travelling in a car with Henry, Max, and worst of all Sweep 'The Bulldozer' Spaniel-features? :D

I was  at the make burgers bit too! Very impressed with your organisational skills gazey. A list of food etc is a good idea, shall I get the stuff that doesn't travel well?
I won't be back from work till 3 ish, if anyone wants to come earlier the field will be there, and my son can point you in the right direction, although he may have fled at the thought of a horde of women arriving.:p
I will sort out sending directions by pm in the next day or two, I will have to concentrate hard to work out who's coming from where.

Ahem, I have just realised the 8 people doesn't include me! I'm not going to sit and bloomin watch you lot eat you know! And i can add 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 horse, 2 ponies and a donkey to the list , so there.:p

I can do pasta salad for an additional veggie option and I think we ought to have strawberries on a hot summer's day, so I shall provide those. :)

As I'll be driving home I'll also bring some soft drinks (and plastic cups to save on MM's washing up! :p).

I have no idea of anyone's real names or what you all look like, would name badges be too pedantic or are you all going to be sozzled by the time I get there and not care anyway? :D

ETA: House name/number and postcode should do it MM, I can use AA Routefinder from then on, though I'm sure you're not too far away. :)

Oh, your poor son! I wont be able to get there until about 5pm I dont think, so shall we say start the BBQ at 6.30pm ish?

Oops - edited now - well I had thought you would be there MM, I was just telling you how many people and dogs would be invading :p And I like the idea of sticky label name badges Blackcob.... ummm, what is your name again? :)

Food list

Spudlet - burgers
Gazehound - sausages
Blackcob - pasta salad, strawberries and soft drinks

Ummmm.... how many sausages should I bring??? :o

My name's pretty easy :p

I shall bring veggie chicken style burgers and salad stuff/plastic cheese.

MM - I don't think she'll have had her second jabs. If she has she'll be coming with but I doubt they'll have been done.

OK - what IS plastic cheese? :D

Oooooo thank goodness, I wanted to bring beer but I thought it might be deemed unsuitable by other BBQers, and you might want to drink something more... well... ladylike? Not saying that you arent ladylike of course Spudlet, you are the epitome of glamour :)

Everyone - BEER :) (or some other liquid refreshment which you will enjoy!)

The cheese slices you put on burgers....can't have a burger without lettuce and plastic cheese :D :p

The lady speaks the truth! They are also the ideal medium for getting pills into dogs, expect to be harassed by my spectacled cheesehound. :p

Gazey, my name is actually something of a conundrum - I go by my surname, always have, but you'll all think I'm weird if I insist you call me Finch. I also answer to Hey You, With That Bloody Dog. :o
