AAD Meet up - UPDATE

MM - its cool!! Really don't worry about clearing up on my behalf - I live in a tip:eek: and as for poo picking - well those of us in tents can manage to clear a space for ourselves :D- it will be better than moving elephant poo before pitching your tent or checking for hippos......;):D

I was thinking we (Spudlet and myself and probably Mollichop - the Eastern posse!!:D:D) will arrive around 5.30 - 6pm. Will that be ok for you?

Spudlet - we need to arrange you getting here:) - was thinking if you get here around 2.30 - 3pm we take the mutts for a quick hoon around the field in the vague attempt of Max and Henry not being over excited........:rolleyes::D:D:D

Lol :D,your skills at moving swiftly will be needed:D,she will roll in any thing,if she smells rabbits there will be no recall, she can climb on to tables and is good at vacuming any thing up with in seconds,so we wont need any bin bags.:D

LOL field is full of rabbits, you're going to be busy. There is no poo where the tents are going, the neds haven't been on there for a bit, although plenty of rabbit and poss fox. Feel free to arrive any time after 4.30, oh and slinky, you re the hippos, you ain't seen Evie in her mud wallow.:p

Starting to panic now - can't let madam run on the long line for fear of demolishing tents, barbecues and people but fear one arm will be twice as long as the other by the end of the night. Will have to bring the waist belt and weigh myself down by eating burgers. :D

Also panicking that I have zero social skills and, as I'm driving, cannot partake of tasty social lubricant. I may scare you all.

*compiles shopping list for Saturday morning*

I shall leave at 5.30 and hopefully arrive shortly after six. Is there anywhere in particular I should park, MM, or will it be obvious where I can go? :)

Looking forward to meeting everyone:D

What can i bring as my contribution to the bbq?

Thanks Gazehound, Isabel is looking forward to eating i mean meeting everyone too :D :D

It would probably make sense if people who aren't staying park on drive, others park in field. I'm planning on shutting horses out of field for evening, though may open gate later (can keep em away from tents with leccy fence). BC you can always take her for a walk round the bigger field on her long line so she doesn't hook everyone up. I do have a corkscrew stake you can use to tie her if you wish.

*envisions the sudden ping followed by scenes of carnage*

Will endeavour to keep her out of the way, I don't know, it may be possible to let her off after all depending on your field. If so you wouldn't have a bunny problem for much longer... :p

Do you think if I keep going on about how awfully behaved we both are we'll look like perfect angels by comparison on the day? :p

I'm sure she'll be fine. If need be I can park my car next to us, have a cage in the back so she could sit in there with boot open. Field is pretty secure but Evie has been known to get through fence when the adrenalin is up.:p

I'd better apologize in advance for Pookie then as well!!! He might bark at other dogs, in which case I will have to ignore everyone and give him my full attention. He hasn't done it in a year, but I'm sure he will take the opportunity to embarass me! If he is a terror I'll just drive him back home and pick another one!

MM, you are being terribly accommodating to my freakish dog - ta! :) Don't worry, if all else fails I'll clip her to the waist belt and sit far enough away that she can't ping up at anyone. Like our own little husky leper colony. :D

BC you never know she may be so overwhelmed with all the dogs that she just sits next to you.:):):)

O look over there........a flying pig.........

O.k boys are getting very excited now about their roadtrip :D
I have yet to purchase tent but stopping at Halfords on the way home from work so that will be sorted.
List so far:

Tent
Airbed
Duvet etc
Dog towels
Tie out stakes for hands free scoffing :D
Waterproofs n wellies
Bread, rolls, chrisps n dips (shall I bring extra rolls for brekkie to save Spudlet?)
Copius amounts of red wine :)
2 hairy hooligans

O.k confession time. This has been playing on my mind so feel I need to let you know in advance in case anyone has any objections. Hector is still entire - he is having them off next week but I can hand on my heart say that he has never shown any interest in bitches nor is he dominant at all, hence why i've been in no rush to have them off. He is extremely submissive and sociable but if you would rather not have an entire dog there I do understand.
So they will be off next week as he has no need for them but, if allowed, Hector will be bringing giblets to the BBQ? :o

Phew thanks MM - he really is a sweetheart and gets on with everyone.

If Evie gave him the green light I think the poor boy would **** himself and run a mile :D

Everybody - everything's going to be fiiiiiiiiine. Annnnnnnd - breathe...

:D

But.... but.....what happens if Islay sees a cat  Or Flick rolls in horse poo

Nah not really, I know you guys wont mind as long, its not like they are going to be openly horrible, just covertly so :D

Buffy2 has been talking about this meet ALL week, she's sorted out what Pea is wearing, round about now she is shopping for veggies for kebabs. Then she's dropping them off at her dads so he! can make them!
Just keep Buffy away from sharp objects & the BBQ ;) (anyone who knows her will understand)

I might be in trouble when she reads this.
