My farrier has missed / changed / made excuses not to come and shoe my horse sooooooooooo many times but this time he takes the p**s

I had asked my yard manager to leave gee in this am as farrier was meant to be arriving at 6, got a text about 5 mins ago saying he wont be out to shoe my horse (whose appointment has been changed no less than 3 times now!)

So I now have a horse who has EXTREMELY sunken heels alround (a problem he has always had but now they are awfull after months of trying to raise them!) and his shoes are ready to drop of on front and his back feet are cracking

Needles to say I am now looking for a different farrier to come and sort him out!!

Sorry but needed to rant I pay enough money and expect a deascent service

Deep breaths....just let it all out

On a serious note, yes I can understand how frustrating that must be for you, you don't mind the odd missed appointment as we all have busy lives and we give and take but if their always doing it and its a matter of urgency now then yes I'd be doing the same.

Hope things get sorted out very soon.

Hun, Change your farrier.. There is no excuse for cancelling /changing you appointment that often.

Im sorry I can't suggest you a decent farrier your way as I don't know any. But that is definatly unacceptable..

PS.. this horse I'm having vetted? I asked them to get it shod as its shoes are paper thin.. they haven't bothered.. I dont think they realise the implications of this.. And ok.. I'll loose 200 quid.. but they will loose 3000...

You mean you are not going to buy the horse you want simply because it needs shoeing??
