Abandoned horses

Whats really getting me is that the actual owners cold e looking for them - no-one knows if they are stolen or anything!!!!!

Why cant the RSPCA find out who owns the land!!

Its ridiculous!.As many have said ..its not hard. Can you get onto the local council and ask them to find out who owns it? Can you take the horses a drink each day rather than leaving them with water. At least you know they'll have had something but the ILPH or whoever will think they have no water/feed etc. So infuriating for you!!!

Firstly if a horse is denied water or feed then action can be taken under current legislation.

I have found that the ILPH are the most efficient organisation in dealing with equine welfare problems.

They will send their local inspector to check the horses in question.

If they are found to be being denied fresh water then they will take action.

Have spoken to them - she has had approx 10 calls this morning from people in Leeds complaining reg the RSPCA - They cant do anything as the local people are feeding them every day and taking water etc.

What is quite worrying is what the locals are feeding them

" food including hay and oats and fresh water......"

These horses are cobs and at least 2 are pregnant!!
