Having read Cala's post I went on to Bank end rescue- again!!! (love the site but so sad)

A lot of the bitches are ex breeding bitches. Are they from puppy farms or from KC breeders? Do some KC breeders dump their dogs like this when they can no longer breed? Many of the bitches seem too young anyway for pups to be recognised by KC.

I also couldnt understand how people could just leave their cats behind when they moved house. It is just beyond my comprehension. How difficult is it to hand a cat over to CPL?

And what is it with people that they take an animal on and just dump it when it is an inconvenience to them? It really is beyond my comprehension. I can understand if circumstances force the issue and the animal is handed over to be rehomed but to just leave it behind or dump it? I just cant understand it.

We've just rehomed a 10 month old pup. The rescue centre & I think he was a Christmas pup & once he'd grown a bit, the novelty had worn off for his owners.

He's the sweetest dog I've come across & I've come across some lovely ones.

He was found wandering the streets with no ID tag & no microchip, very hungry & slightly nervous. No effort was made to trace him

Here's a pic of him;

He's a Cocker Spaniel X. We think the X is maybe a Retriever? If anyone has a better idea of what it may be feel free to let me know!

Sorry I meant the Many Tears Rescue- Bank end is mainly horses I think. Tinker-belle your pup is lovely. Glad he has found a good home.

They are puppy farm bitches, and she also takes the unsold or deformed pups. More proof that the puppy farms are a national disgrace. Sylvia from Many Tears has an 'arrangement' where she goes round and collects unwanted dogs, no questions asked. She fumes about the conditions they are kept in and the poor state they arrive in but bites her tongue so the farmers will keep handing over the dogs. They also collect the pound dogs who have reached the end of their stay so all in all it's a busy place

Sure no one on here really needs to be reminded but....DON'T EVER BUY A DOG FROM A PUPPY FARM, PET SHOP OR ANYWHERE WHERE YOU CAN'T SEE THE PUPS IN A HOME ENVIRONMENT WITH AT LEAST ONE PARENT. I know a couple who collected their pup, sight unseen, from a man in a layby!!! People feel sorry for them and 'rescue' them, which is understandable but only allows the farmers to continue this evil trade

Did everyone go and see Barry on the site? It would be so lovely if someone could offer him a home. What a bloody horrible way to end up after a lifetime of companionship, to be discarded and left to uncertain fate. Makes me so bloody mad. Like CALA could go on and on and on............

Thanks guys

I am biased of course but he totally lush. He's just so well behaved, somebody has taken the time to train him so I'm presuming he was loved at some point. But he cowers if you raise your hand so he's definitely been belted.

But he is so incredibly loving & trusting it's untrue. He puts his head in your lap for cuddles & will roll onto his back to have his belly scratched.

I can't bear to think that somebody just dumped him, it does make me incredibly sad because he is such a lovely boy & although no animal deserves to be dumped, he is definitely one of the least deserving.

He's a doll, very protective of the family & home.

I now would not buy a dog. I'd go straight for a rescue

We wanted a St. Bernard & obviously, they are slightly rarer than the average dog & we bought ours from a local breeder who's dogs were family pets.

All of them were loved & cared for & happy dogs.

I'd never buy from a puppy farm or from anyone I was suspicious about. It just feeds the trade
