Hi All
I hope someone will be able to help me as I am looking for a Abbot Davies balancing reins or any ideas where I can get one.
Thanks
Ed

wow, do they still make these barbaric things?

I don't use gadgets and have never used an ADBR (although I have a vague memory of a horse being ridden in one at a riding school years ago - the horse was a livery, not used for lessons) so I'd be interested to know why this one is barbaric. Is it something to do with tying it to the horse's tail somehow? Urg, my brain cells are just struggling to remember anything about the one I saw so I could be wrong.

So the full kit is where it is tied to the tail - and the original Mr Abbot Davies allegedly died when a horse took exception to it.
However most people use the half set which attaches to the girth and is, in my opinion, the least harmful, of all gadgets.

I inherited one, never used it, and I've no idea where most of it went, but the rubber standing martingale attachment has been extremely useful over the years.

Not that that answers the OP's question ...
