hi i was just wondering if anybody new how the abbott davies got its name because iam doing an assignment for college and cant foind how it got it any help with this will be highly useful thanks alot

The Abbott-Davies run a stud - I think they breed Arabs and Anglo-arabs. They developed the balancing rein in conjunction with Malcolm Pyrah back in the 1980's I think. There used to be lots of advertising features with Malcolm on Anglezarke wearing one of them I think.
I only know this because my mare was bred by them - her mother was one of the Abbott-Davies anglos and her father was one of Malcolm's stallions. That is her on the left of my signature. A bit of useless information I know!

Be careful with the negative comments - this subject came up a few years ago & the designer's son posted from nowhere, very upset with the derogatory comments. You could probably search for it actually...

I have one lying in pieces on my shoe rack, can't remember for the life of me how to reconstruct it. The booklet is hilarious, brilliant photos like something from a 1920's almanack!
