Abbott Davis balancing rein

Has anyone used this rein and how did they find it

I had one, still have somewhere I think. It was ok. I preferred lunging in it to riding.

Only use the top half - abbot Davis died using the bottom bit!!

Potentially useful if you have a horse inclined to rear (Bunny hop rears) as the pressure is progressive? I used to ride at a classical dressage yard where they loved them and where they were the only ‘gadget’ they would use.
