hi
just wondering if anyone has encountered this before
on new years day my friends 16.3 tb cross gelding burst an abcess out of the side of his cheek bone he was off his feed and running a temperature , they called the vet who prescribed him antibiotics and said it may be a tooth root abcess or possibly a foriegn body , horse fully recovered with no after effects
this weekend two months later my tb gelding comes in from field with stinking discharging abcess in exactly the same place (he shares a field with first gelding)
he has no temperature and is eating well , had the vet and she prescribed antibiotics and was at a loss to explain it
any ideas?
