abcess !!

my poor boy had this in his foot,hence the lameness,box rest and bandages helped and rang the vet this am to tell him of his progress and vet said he was ok to go back out today,so when i went to bring him in tonight he couldnt walk,rang vet as i was leading him in and him came down,checked foot then used a cadget to find the spot and he jumped out of his skin,bless him he was so brave really,well shoe comes off and abcess cut away que another jump then lots of puss then blood

so all bandaged up and a struggle to walk back in to box but is now feeling sorry for himself in stable of which he will spend another week,he kept looking at me the whole time and i could hear him saying is it ok mummy is it going to hurt,he was shacking and breathing heavily

vet said walking with this is the same as walking with a broken leg no wonder he couldnt walk coming in bless him

i was so proud of him he was so brave,i do love my boy and wonder what id ever do without him

So sorry to hear that he has got another one just as he was coming sound. Glad he was good and brave.

thankfully this is the only one hes had,the box rest and bandages were over the weekend as he went lame but didnt know it was this untill thisevening,the vet told me to keep him in,thinking what i had described to him was prob a strain or pulled musscle,thankfully we caught it before it burst itself

Oh that's good news, he should come sound soon enough then. Have fun with the tubbing etc.

I used to work for a vet or reffered to puss in the foot as "Three legs and a swinger". They go so lame people do worry that they have broken their leg. Sounds like he deserves lots of fuss being made.

that is so true,he really couldnt walk last nite i felt so sorry for him,hes being pampered and listening to classic fm on the radio in his box,ive only just got in from seeing him and sorting his foot out and now off to bed as i work all nite last nite and working tonight as well,me thinks i wont get much sleep for a while as have to be up to get son from school !!!!

yeh thank god as i was starting to think it was something more serious,he made a run for it this morning out of the box then realised he couldnt walk lol the big numpty
