I am off on a little adventure to see my friend in Aberdeen on the 22nd. I will be there for the weekend and monday to thursday and was thinking of doing a bit of riding since the countryside around there will be new to me. Can anyone recommend anywhere good or even fancies some chores done in exchange for a little hack together?? Public transport access needed sadly.

hmmm let me think i've not been here particularly long myself so there are probably better qualified people out there.
You've got hayfield which do hack out into the forests and round hazel head park which i think you can get to from the city centre on the bus quite easily 17 i think. There is also Old fold which i here good things about http://www.aberdeenridingclub.com/ which you can also get to by bus I think 19. There is redwings as well which has good hacking but i am not sure about transport again. There are other places further out but not so sure about the public transport option but likely to be more rural.
