Hi all

Does anyone have any experience of these? Can you do specific tests like start off at test 6 or so or do you have to do all of them? A local RS are carrying out these tests and have 3 weeks of training on ever Sunday! Just looking into it at the moment really

I did all of mine in two lots - 1 to 6 riding and Stable Management on one day, then the next time I did 7 - 10 of both. Really enjoyed them although doing that many in one go led to a long day!

I really recommend them and think they are much better structured and far more practically useful than the BHS stages actually (ducks and runs!).

Done many many years ago when it was still fun to muck out :) but I have all my ABRS tests and non of my BHS and I have worked and owned horses for many years and they certainly stand you in good sted for your general horse ownership etc.
Your BHS goes to a higher level and has more of an understanding with us 'Horsey' folk but I never took them, didn't want to and got my knowledge and work from getting in there and 'doing' it.
I still keep my certificates of them in my cupboard in my bedroom :)
