Abscess not draining?

I had the vet out yesterday and she dug out an abscess from my gelding's left fore. However, both poultice changes since then (warm/wet poultice) don't appear to have any pus on them. Should I be worried? The abscess was quite deep and the vet said she thought she got "most of it". But I have zero previous experience with abscesses so just wondering what to make of the lack of draining??

I am going through the same thing on my post in vets. https://forums.horseandhound.co.uk/threads/abscess-help-wanted.815579/#post-14844558
I assume if some has already come out and there's no more you'd be safe to get some iodine and sugar and mix and put on as a dry poultice to start healing the area and drying it up. Well that's what I've done anyway although I could be wrong.
