As per title, when I have dealt with abscesses in the past there has usually been some heat in the foot and/or swelling on the lower leg. Is it possible for a horse to be lame from an abscess with no heat or swelling?
It could be a bruised foot in which case it may cause lameness without heat or swelling.
I have had deep abscesses with no heat or swelling so if you think that is what it is don't rule it out just because it is not presenting "normally" they don't follow a rule book.
Likewise. I've seen a fair few and plenty without heat.
