I'd heard she went to America for a while, but not sure if that is true. Normally you would spot her because she was wearing sparkly leggings etc, but I guess she is trying to stay under the radar at the moment.

She had qualified for the medium championship class at Crufts this week, but I'm guessing she thought better of making an appearance.

Her qualification should have been withdrawn. Crufts is my annual prompt to rage against the Kennel Club.

It may of been, but on the list of dogs who qualified that is updated throughout the year, she had gained a 'ticket' twice, so was entitled to compete, but wasn't even on the start list.

That bit saying 30% less French bulldogs were registered last year compared to the year before was, imo, a meaningless statistic as I suspect there were probably 30% less dogs registered full stop. Maybe not and I cba to look into it.

Not all breed numbers were down but as you rightly guess quite a few were. Only 108 Lancashire heelers v 1990 pugs, I know which I would rather have !

I have a secret liking for pugs. Their character, not their breathing ability! But yes I’d have a heeler, too.

Yeah, in fairness to her she’s not really doing anything plenty of other people aren’t also doing and the KC permit it. The small dog she’s running now wasn’t bred by her (although she has bred from it) but by a well known working cocker kennel, who don’t seem to have a problem with a 27% COI and one dog siring 200+ litters.
 
I had no idea about any of this! I tried following their pod for a while but it was a lot of waffle but no actual advise (other than pay for our course and buy our supplements).

Why weren't animal welfare charities involved? (I suspect I know the answer to that one!)

Why don't the KC introduce DNA testing? Surely they could monetise it!

Mallowdale or Poolgreen? ETA. Nevermind, spotted the breeder is Samsir. Interestingly, they are usually vocal about health testing etc
