Got my horses back looked at by pysio (just like to add this lady travels with a top eventer so knows her stuff) as he has been short for a while and tail swishing.

His pelvis is out and suffers muscles spasms :( she said she hopes she's sorted it and he may be a bit stiff for a week as still expecting pain but if after 2 weeks he is still like that get the vet out as it could be serious :( she told me some excersises to do every day with him and only walk and trot and lunge with poles. If he is fine after 2 weeks then give her a ring and she'll come out in about 4-5 weeks to see how he's doing.

He is only 4 and ive only had him 3 month :( was planning to event him back end of next year and progress his jumping beginning of next but obviously I'll be going back to basics to strengthen his back up and take our time.

I feel awful, vibes please that pysio sorted it and the vet won't be needed :(

(p.s, we were thinking of getting the vet out after 2 weeks regardless and not tell them about pysio to see what they diagnosed, but we'll see how he goes these 2 weeks)

Absolutely gutted ;(

I'd try not to worry too much- as far as a physio assessment goes, that's not particularly bad. She may not be expecting it to be all that serious, and mentioning getting the vet involved so you know she isn't just trying to get repeat treatments out of you - no point just treating the symptoms and not the root cause, or it will keep reoccurring. Slightly concerned about 'not telling the vet' about the physio though - she should've had the vets consent in the first place to treat your horse. Chances are he'll be feeling a lot looser over the next couple of days, and hopefully improve from there. Will keep fingers crossed for you both :)
