Was far too weak and feeble last night to post this... yesterday I fed and watered (by myself) 25 horses- twice, mucked out 13 stables, led out and tethered 16 horses (then brought them all back in again) swept up the whole yard, tacked up 4 horses for other people (could easily have been more!) and it took me almost 12 hours (with a break for lunch) There is a reason there are 2 grooms on our yard.
Shattered- and I still have to do this for another 2 days.

Got some peanuts in my back to keep me going; I sweat so much (ick!) I get a bit wobbly!! Good idea about the chocolate!!

Crickey, and there was me thinking I had it hard mucking out and riding before work - an office job sitting on my butt all day!!

I have total sympathy!! I did this for over 3 years in one job. Except in winter all rugs had to be changed over from stable to turnout

That is a lot. Respect!

Don't forget to keep up your electrolytes if you are getting hot and sweaty. Or you will collapse!
Well, you will either be very fit, or exhausted. I hope they appreciate you.

Me too!!!

Make sure you keep drinking lots of water and eat well!! Oh god, I have sympathy for you!

I most certainly am NOT appreciated, but then again, neither are Luis and Fabian!! Fabian does all this AND he shoes most of the horses on the yard and fixes tack and rugs, not to mention sorting out cuts/wounds etc...
Have got peanuts in my rucksack for when I get 'wobbly' moments. The salt really helps!

Did you see nitwit brain yesterday???

Nope, nor today. Was DREADING the weekend which is when all the numpties and eejits come and ride and interrupt vital chores like feeding, watering and mucking out so you can tack up their horses; I was meant to be working on my own, but Fabian has said he'll come and help and deflect the men who pick on me (cos they do!!)
