He went lame on Wednesday

vets saw him Thursday morning, he has swelling around the fetlock. It is the opposite leg to last time! His shoes are coming off on Thursday and he will be on box rest for minimum and month with a fair amount of time off

am just absulutely Gutted, just as I thought I had him back, had booked to take him to a riding camp in July/August but can't see it happening now, and doubt could get a horse to take

I am just unbelievably upset and gutted that my beautiful boy is really starting to seem 18 years old

No, last time he was lame he came sound just as he went meant to be scanned

been totally sound for over 3 months now, and on top form, jumped once which was twice over a less than 1ft cross pole so its not that

He is likely to have an ultrasound scan but we want to give him some time first see if the swelling goes down.
 
I'm sorry to hear your neddy isn't right- what did he do to the other leg last time? and what has he done this time?- IMHO although box rest might make the injury seem better can you get it scanned so you know exactly what is going on with it, that way he will get the right treatment quickly and he may come right sooner for you so you could enjoy the summer camp!. Wishing you lots of luck.
