Anyone use these pads to help stop saddle slipping on a cob type with no wither and wondering if it is better at this without a numnah or doesn't it make a difference

TIA

They seem to have quite good anti-slip properties anyway with a numnah. I'm not sure I'd use one without as they're really quite sticky and I imagine hair would stick really badly. It's bad enough with a numnah between. I'd also guess that they might cause sweating.

I do really like mine as a shock absorber though.

I use an Acavallo air release pad direct on the back then a Le Lieux saddle cloth and then the saddle. However none of mine are cobs.

I believe Valegro has Acavallo, saddle cloth, Acavallo, saddle

I never recommend sticking the saddle in place except as a real temporary measure. It IS entirely possible to fit a saddle to not slip, even on the very widest types. Someone posted on here within the last two weeks about a horse who had gone super sensitive in their skin after one being used on them.
